Goods requiring an export permit and goods prohibited for shipment

Please note that your shipment must not contain any of the prohibited items listed in the section on items that cannot be shipped through West Parcel, including but not limited to items of special value (e.g., artwork, antiques), money or negotiable instruments (e.g., checks, bills, bonds, savings bonds, credit cards with a positive balance, stock certificates or other securities), firearms, and hazardous substances.
Certain types of goods are subject to certain export requirements, restrictions and prohibitions. Please read them carefully below.
Jewelry made of natural stones requires a gemological examination. If the stones are not natural (such as zirconia, glass, ceramics, imitation stones made of plastic), then no examination is required.
For art objects, such as paintings (oil on canvas) and sculptures (plaster, metal), permission from the Ministry of Culture is required.
Only a print, a printed image, can be sent by FedEx and UPS without examination. If the image is painted, then all paintings, without exception, require additional documents.
No permission is required for plastic figurines and toys, for industrial design products, as well as for posters and printed paintings.
For watercolors, pencil sketches, cartoons, gouache or other paint on paper, wood, or other surface (except canvas), you must attach a printed sold lot from Etsy, Ebay, or Lavky with a visible, distinctive photo and the item's sale price to the usual shipping documents. Only a print, a printed image, can be sent via FedEx and UPS without examination. If the image is painted, then all paintings, without exception, require additional documents.
For oil on canvas portraits from a photograph, you need to include a printout of the lot with the sale price, as well as a copy of the photograph of the person who was painted. For folding knives and dirks, a conclusion is required that these items are not cold steel.
Metal and metal products:
● If the product is made of metal and there is a receipt for it, it is sufficient to enclose this receipt, no examination is required.
● If the metal product is handmade (no receipt), an expert evaluation is required. You can send items made of metals no more expensive than silver via UPS and FedEx.
It is forbidden to send metal in its pure form via West Parcel.
It is forbidden to send herbaria, ikebana, brooms, bouquets and any other dried flowers, branches and herbs, except for products made from them (such as mats and vases).
Watches older than 60 years are prohibited for shipment. Sunglasses are also not allowed to be imported into the United States.
Weapons and dual-use goods are prohibited for shipment: transmitters, spare parts for military equipment, radios, optical sights, night vision devices, etc.
Amber products or untreated amber are prohibited.
Orders, state awards and documents for them (including award badges and insignia), as well as orders, badges, medals and other paraphernalia promoting Soviet and/or communist values are prohibited for shipment.
If your shipment contains a lithium-ion or rechargeable lithium battery (e.g., a phone battery or a laptop/tablet battery), do the following
● Print the Security Document. Include the UPS shipment number at the top and sign at the bottom. Here's a sample.
● Print the large sticker or small parcel stickers on a color printer. Write your phone number in the For more information, call____________ box and stick the sticker on the box with the goods so that it is visible from the outside. The security document must be glued to the parcel in a separate transparent self-adhesive plastic envelope, which can be obtained from the courier or at the reception point.
